Steven M. Hughes is a millennial money expert, speaker, facilitator, media personality, and non-profit leader. As the Founder of Know Money Inc., he’s helped thousands of college students and young professionals better their lives by learning to think and speak differently about money.
Having made nearly every financial mistake imaginable during his own college experience, Steven now dedicates his efforts to helping other young adults avoid the same pitfalls. He is a nationally Certified Financial Education Instructor and was selected as one of only 400 young adults in the world to join the World Economic Forum’s esteemed Global Shapers Community in 2015. For his strides in improving financial literacy for millennials across South Carolina, Steven was also featured on the cover of Columbia Business Monthly‘s inaugural “Best & Brightest 35 and Under,” list in September 2016.
Since 2016, Steven has appeared on a weekly “Money Monday,” segment for his local CBS television news affiliate, WLTX News 19. He has also shared his financial expertise on podcasts such as and more.
